The zirconium oxide ceramic blade with a rounded tip for safety is non-conductive, anti-magnetic, never rusts, and chemically inert (no oil coatings), and it stays sharp up to 10 times longer than steel blades.

One Slice ceramic blade is equivalent to up to 20 metal blades, which means less blade changes, less downtime, and fewer injuries, plus a simple no-tool blade change (replacement SKU# 10404 or 10408).

The ceramic blade only protrudes 1/2" and is designed primarily for cutting corrugated packaging, foam, vinyl, boxes, cardboard, and so on. For cutting paper and thinner items, please try the Slice 00116 precision cutter or 00100 safety cutter, or use the pointed blades 10408.
